The philosophy “Passion Shapes Perfection” constitutes the foundations of the work of Thomas Mang, who awakens his unusual projects to life through his passion and precision. His studio manages to combine wide-ranging expertise in architecture with a delicacy of consultation for the interior needs, culminating in all-encompassing concepts of living which meld aesthetics and functionality to perfection.

Details form Design. Passion shapes Perfection.
The objective is to preserve and maintain what is old and valuable and convert it to contemporary utilisable forms through the application of intelligent solutions. Historic elements are thereby transformed to emblematic, sometimes iconic components of modern architecture. One succinct, expressive project is the revitalisation of a former hanger for locomotives and workshops located on Lake Constance. The erstwhile industrial centre was transmogrified into a vibrant, living place full of rooms for events, presentations and working space. Restored brick-lined facades and steel supports constitute the backdrop for highly modern interior rooms. Another example is the new construction of a villa in Regensburg. Classic architectural components and state-of-the-art technology meld to form a startlingly harmonious overall concept.

Project in Munich
“Architecture for us is far more than designing buildings, in truth it builds a bridge connecting the past with the future,” elucidates company founder Thomas Mang. For that reason, THOMAS MANG STUDIO works upon its fascinating discovery that exterior architecture and interior architecture in fact form one single unit – after all, rooms which are functional, aesthetic, tell tales of their generation are convincing to one and all. The studio places high store in materials which protect natural resources and utilise them with care; on energy-efficient building methods, and on digital tools which can make the projects simultaneously more transparent and more efficient.

In future, the focus of THOMAS MANG STUDIO will concentrate even more intensely on holistic, all-encompassing solutions which draw together and subsequently actually unite exterior architecture and interior architecture, with the expressed goal of generating rooms which on the one hand, fulfil the needs of today’s generation, and on the other, inspire the generations to come.
