Monaco-based entrepreneur Frank Binder has a bright vision named “Ulyssia“, a 320-metre, 15-deck residential superyacht where around 250 people will live permanently while circumnavigat-ing the globe – without ever leaving home. “Ulyssia“ is conceived as a floating private community, part five-star resort, part luxury residence, part expedition vessel. With 99,600 gross tons, it will rival a modern cruise ship in scale, yet offer a two-to-one crew-to-guest ratio. Construction is set to begin soon, with delivery expected in 2028 or 2029. The total project value: USD 1.5 billion. Named after Ulysses, the Roman counterpart of Odysseus, the yacht celebrates the spirit of exploration. Her 7.5-metre draft allows access to smaller harbours, while a 34-metre beam accommodates 132 residences and 22 guest suites – each with a private terrace and generous interiors crafted by designers such as Francesca Muzio, Jean-Michel Gathy, Nicole Hollis, Sabrina Monte-Carlo, and Lenny Kravitz. Life on board promises every imaginable luxury: five restaurants, a sushi bar, theatre, spa, gym, golf lounge, atelier, grocery, chapel, and both indoor and outdoor pools. Facilities will include classrooms, a business centre, and state-of-the-art medical care. For adventure, residents can explore by helicopter, Triton submarine, or Zodiac, with a full marina and beach club for oceanfront living. Designed by Espen Øino and built by Meyer Werft in Germany, “Ulyssia“ represents a new way of life at sea – an exclusive community of global citizens, united by luxury, curiosity, and the freedom of the open ocean.
