Project Description

YACHTING | 2023

Cruising at 50 knots

Over the past ten years, Sacs has virtually reinvented the concept of the maxi-RIB. With its Strider line, the Italian shipyard has positioned itself as a big player in the inflatable boat segment from 10 to 20 metres in length. The new Rebel line of SACS takes this a step further and combines the features of a full-fledged motor yacht with the advantages of inflatable boats. Rebels are sporty boats with generous hardtops and deck areas as well as plenty of space below deck, equipped to the highest standards. The current flagship is the Rebel 55, which is excellent as a day cruiser or weekender but also just as good as a chaseboat for very large yachts. Two engine options are available: the two 725 hp Volvo Penta IPS 950s of the inboard version can take the yacht to a top speed of 37 knots, while the outboard model in its most extreme form with four 600 hp Mercury Verado (2400 hp) makes a top speed of 50 knots possible.

Totally functional

With a completely new multifunctional and modular concept, the Axopar 45 Cross Cabin positions itself in the market. Powered by three Mercury V8 300 Verado engines, the Axopar 45, which is just under 14 metres long and displaces seven tons, can cruise at speeds between 19 and 35 knots while remaining in the economic range. Standard features of the Axopar 45 XC Cross Cabin include a cabin with double sliding doors that generate a seamless connection with the exterior. Midship balconies allow for easy entry and exit, create more space, and can be transformed into a sociable seating area connected to the cabin. The combination of cabin and balconies makes the 45 XC a very multifunctional and guest compatible boat. The 45 series consists of a total of five different models.

Uncompromising aesthetics

When the name Wally is mentioned, yacht aficionados click their tongues. The Italian brand stands for minimalist and radical design as well as exceptional performance. While in some ways it feels like a fresh start for Wally, the all-new Wallypower 58 retains some very distinct design features from the Wallytender, the Wallypower 52 and the legendary Wallypower 118. In each case, this dedication to purity of form has an impact on the way the boat performs. The tapered bow and open aft deck, for example, are completely free of bulwarks. And where Wally pushes his uncompromising approach to style even further is in the complete absence of hull windows. Instead, there are “magic portholes” – gimbal-stabilized cameras on each side of the boat that connect to port and starboard screens in the salon, providing a wide-angle view of the outside world without compromising the boat’s aesthetics. That’s not to say there’s no natural light – a large deck hatch channels light into the interior. In the cockpit, an open transom with a hydraulic swim platform and expandable side deck provides an exceptional space near the water. Further forward, in the covered section, the Wally’s dining area is under a coupe-style superstructure with pillarless curved glass. Below deck, bathed in natural light through large panes of glass, the standard layout includes a forward owner’s cabin, a lower salon and a bathroom with shower. Wallypower 58 owners have a choice of Volvo Penta’s D8-IPS700 and IPS800 engines, which provide a range of 300 to 330 nautical miles at 30 to 32 knots.
