Project Description

Kitzbühel | Issue 40 | WINTER 2016

The local mountain larch has been used largely to create or enhance rustic ambience to date. But at Admonter they have long known that this conifer has much more to offer. Larchwood is currently experiencing a veritable revival and grand entrance in modern architecture, sophisticated hotels and exclusive private properties.

In such surroundings, where individuality is uppermost top priority, local larchwood provides uniqueness in spades. Increasing numbers of architects and hotel owners have fallen in love with its natural beauty with the added enhancement of serene cosiness. Larchwood is not only visually warm-(hearted), it has now been proven to be the most foot-warming wood in the land.

A perfect symbiosis

Holzhotel Forsthofalm in Leogang provides a perfect example of this stunning symbiosis: superb location, exclusive and modern furnishings based on Admonter larchwood. The well known Romantik Hotel Schloss Pichlarn boasts suites panelled and floored in this (heart-)warming coniferous wood, lending them both elegance and cosiness. Querschnitt Co. of Salzburg has gone so far as to specialize in genuine wood decor in exclusive hotels and homes.

At Admonter, one is prepared for the slew of new projects of larchwood, having developed novel colour tones and panelling-patterns which showcase the multi-faceted aspects of this local wood.
