Kitzbühel & Alpenraum | Issue 08 | Autumn 2018
Skiing, attending conferences and relaxing: whoever is looking for true skiing holidays instead of aprés-ski partying and the masses, who seeks peaceful rejuvenation in the mountains, is right on target at Resterhöhe mountain inn. Just a hop, skip and jump from Kitzbühel, directly on the ski run above Pass Thurn, encounter the authentic magic of a mountain hut at the highest imaginable level.
In accordance with the motto “Traditional hut … modern interpretation” Resterhöhe provides a space for regenerative private events or company celebrations, directly connected to the ski slopes. Skiers and backcountry tourers need but one swoop to reach the hut from the chairlift station at 1800 m altitude. Guests who arrive after opening hours of the lift are picked up personally in the ski-doo by manager Philipp Rauscher.
The new Resterhöhe is a combination of traditional cosy inn and contemporary regenerative retreat. It is furnished with simple but rarefied materials such as natural woods, dark leather, wool felt, chequered draperies, original trestle tables and ottomans.
Culinary enjoyments, on the other hand, set modern accents: the dishes are varied daily, composed of mostly regional products, including vegetarian and vegan alternatives.
Apart from the cosy sitting room for guests there is also a lounge with oversized sofas and an open fireplace. A total of 47 beds in thirteen 1-bed to 4-bed rooms guarantee quiet nights. Whoever seeks a greater private sphere can book one of the new suites. And beyond that, a yoga and fitness studio, along with an outdoor hot tub, are also available for your delectation, from which magnificent views of the Großvenediger and profound tranquility are equally assured.
Resterhöhe is open during the winter season from 21.12.2018 until 31.03.2019. For booking apart from holidays and on weekends, manager Philipp Rauscher can offer special conditions on request. During summer season, Resterhöhe is open exclusively for weddings, conferences and special celebrations.
