The 88′ Folgore, 26.92 metres long and 6.31 metres wide, was designed by Officina Italiana Design and the engineering department of the Ferretti Group, which also includes the Riva shipyard. The design of the hull windows of the 88′ Folgore is reminiscent of a black brushstroke along the silver side of the yacht, which rises towards the aft deck. A further stylistic feature is the seemingly com-
plete glazing of the superstructure, including a huge windscreen, which gives the lines a sporty as well as automotive impression. The interior of the 88′ Folgore is dominated by a carefully selected mix of wood, leather and steel, which shapes the look both on the light-flooded main deck with saloon, dining area and helm stand and on the lower deck. The dominant wood in construction number one is polished rosewood, combined with light or dark leather inserts and white parquet flooring. These contrasts create surprising effects that give the rooms a refined, classic elegance. With two MTU 16V 2000 M96L engines in the engine room and an output of 2638 hp, the 88′ Folgore has a respectable top speed of 38 knots and a cruising speed of 32 knots. The standard propulsion solution with an output of 2435 HP reduces both values by two knots.
