Project Description

Best of Mallorca | 2017

The new concept gallery Vjp Art & Design in Santanyí offers personal consulting and customized solutions for your walls.

Small but fair, is one’s first impression on entering the showroom of Vanessa Jasmin Panné. The Art Director’s selection of photographs is stylish and to the point, a collection of still life and landscapes. The graduated photographer and designer has selected works from her personal archive on display. Most of the images, however, were recently created here in Mallorca. In the back room one is impressed by a “Petersburger Hängung” an especially narrow array of pictures – each of them a small treasure of its own. In the main room, she displays a series of cherry blossom images in black and white.

“I have a great passion for interior design …

… and know how difficult furnishing a house is for many, let alone decorating the walls.” That is where Vanessa Jasmin Panné comes into play by providing advice and creating new options. Her high quality prints can be ordered in different
sizes and materials, adjusted to personal customer requirements.

From pictures and suits

Ten years ago, while working on her diploma thesis, she planned a concept for a gallery. On completing her studies, however, a call came through from Hugo Boss offering her a job. So the visual designer spent the last years working as an art director for the fashion industry – creating corporate designs, trade fair stands, directing fashion shoots for, amongst others, the likes of German brand, Cinque. “Design follows the same rules at all levels”, she explains.
“A picture should adapt to a room like a well fitted suit. Both have the same aesthetic purpose.”

Exclusivity with enduring value

Art, however, is enduring and gains in value over the years. Which is why it was important for her to make limited editions and restrict her prints to a maximum of ten copies, to create a collector’s value. The client should know – as with every other work of art – that he has acquired something special. Her portfolio will be extended in time to include other artists.
“I met so many great photographers during my work, that I’m looking forward to present some of them in my portfolio.” In addition to photography, Vanessa Jasmin Panné is involved with fine art. Her inherent sense of beauty is perfectly manifested in a fantastic collection of vases, which she recently designed and is also displayed in her showroom.
