Project Description

KITZBÜHEL | Issue 42 | Winter 2017

The 5-star superior hotel SEVERIN*S – THE ALPINE RETREAT stands for new high level of luxury in the legendary skiing village of Lech am Arlberg. It combines naturalness, modern design, high-end technology, carefully selected materials and Austrian traditions in an entirely successful and harmonious way. At the same time, it is cosy and cosmopolitan.

The luxurious hideaway is idyllically located on a mountain slope with a panoramic view over the alpine landscape. Thanks to traditional elements such as copper roofing, vintage Tyrolean timber and stone façade, the chalet harmoniously blends into its Alpine setting. Nine luxurious suites offer guests a new class of living in a contemporary Alpine style. Divided into lavish living and sleeping areas, the suites vary in size from 47 to 67 m².

Upon request, three of the nine suites can be converted into family suites to accommodate additional guests. The Residence with its 423 m², spanning two floors, is the embodiment of outstanding accommodation that is second to none and can be reached from the basement car park via a private elevator.

Guests can relax and enjoy the unparalleled wellness facilities at SEVERIN*S – THE ALPINE RETREAT, which includes a massage treatment suite, hair salon, indoor infinity pool with a current stream and whirlpool, two saunas and a steam room. Meanwhile, those looking to stay fit, focused and energized can make use of the hotel’s state of the art Technogym and cardio area or the yoga room.

Fresh air and mountain exploration call for long luxurious dining experiences and the restaurant SEVERIN*S won’t disappoint: “A new dimension in décor, service and cuisine” the Gault & Millau critics are hailing and awarded SEVERIN*S with two chef’s hats and 16 out of 20 points after just one season. Head chef Stephan Kriegelstein is also known as the best newcomer in the region in compliance of the fallstaff magazine.

Whether it is the wide range of precious rarities in the wine cellar, the original artwork from Roy Lichtenstein or the 3D private cinema: There are further more highlights in the hotel which one has to experience with a stay at SEVERIN*S – THE ALPINE RETREAT.

Since the opening of the new Flexenbahn cableway in the winter of 2016/17 the Arlberg skiing area is the largest contiguous skiing area in Austria and is ranked as No. 5 in the world. With 87 ski lifts, 305 kilometres of ski runs and 200 kilometres of high Alpine deep powder snow runs available, virtually unlimited skiing and snowboarding enjoyment is guaranteed.
