Project Description

Kitzbühel & Alpenraum | Issue 08 | Autumn 2018

Just once, not to be a spectator but instead, the star yourself in Kitzbühel. Just once, to feel how your pulse quickens when you are waiting at the start. Just once, to drive on a flawlessly prepared racing slope. Audi makes it possible – at the Audi quattro Ski-Cup from 15th to 17th February 2019.

The background conditions could not be better. Where else could you as an amateur skier feel the excitement and tensions of a World Cup race? Including start cabin, stopwatch time measurement, a perfectly manicured piste, downhill arc into the finish zone and live commentaries? At the Audi quattro Ski-Cup, ambitious skiers have the chance to feel a little bit like Marcel Hirscher. Audi brings high tech from the race route to the road and transforms high performance sport to driving fun.

The Audi quattro Ski-Cup follows the selfsame principle of success – an amateur ski race series held in professional surroundings and perfect conditions like the Audi FIS World Cup in skiing. Once again last year the Audi quattro Ski-Cup was a resounding success: more than 2,500 participants and immense resonance.

Austrian ski legends will be on hand to give the amateurs tips, techniques and analysis. And speaking of amateurs: all amateur skiers who are 18 years or older and can manage a red ski piste are invited to take part in the Audi quattro Ski-Cup. In order to ensure a fair amateur ski race, ski instructors (past and present) and FIS point-skiers are barred from the competition.
