Project Description

Yachting | 2026

Contrary to the common cliché of endless parties on board, most superyachts today cruise with families – and often, several generations – on board. Yachting offers an unforgettable way to spend time together, but it can be challenging too, especially with young children who need constant supervision. That is where professionals like Ella come in. As a superyacht nanny, she is responsible for turning the yacht into a safe, exciting world for kids, all while adapting to life at sea.

Ella Peters has been sailing since she was a child and knows how life on yachts works – her goal and mission: to make children’s holidays the best possible.

“There are no playgrounds or parks on board,” she says. “But there is the ocean, imagination, and a little creativity.” Her days are filled with water games, treasure hunts, and art sessions on deck. Birthdays are celebrated with handmade cards and baking sessions – often in collaboration with the galley crew. Safety is always top priority. Children are not allowed to roam freely, and Ella must constantly assess risks – slippery decks, steep stairs, heavy doors. “You have to stay calm and alert,” she says. “Panic spreads fast with kids.” Her most memorable moment? “I was on a jet ski with a little girl near Capri, showing her the bats in the caves. We talked about dinosaurs – she was fascinated. One of those magical moments I know she will never forget.” For Ella, it is more than just childcare. It is about giving children a sense of freedom and fun in an environment designed for adults – making the yacht experience just as special for them as it is for everyone else.
