Established in 1992, Tubes constitutes a unique case history in the radiators and heated towel rails segment. Thanks to Tubes, radiators have been transformed from a purely practical appliance that needed to be hidden from view into a highly functional design object that makes a statement. Tubes was able to fill this gap, focusing on innovation and giving rise to intense research and experimentation both in terms of processes and materials used, as well as from a styling perspective, thanks to partnerships with international designers.
The entire production process takes place in Resana, Treviso: Made in Italy is one of the key values of the corporate philosophy, along with innovation, technology, aesthetic styling, sustainability and impeccable craftsmanship along with the highest quality.
In an industry which had never been involved in design, Tubes transferred its know-how by putting together top-quality products with sophisticated aesthetics, which have been selected by prestigious museums for their permanent design exhibitions (for instance, Die Neue Sammlung in Munich and the Centre Pompidou in Paris) and they have won multiple international design awards (Red Dot Award, Compasso d’Oro ADI, iF Design Award, Wallpaper* Design Awards, Iconic Awards, among others).
Tubes radiators have been bestowed with these awards, because they become an element of the architectural structure, which is packed with personality, thanks also to the possibility of customization and modularity.
The encounter with Ludovica + Roberto Palomba gave rise to “Elements”, a collection that boasts partnerships with leading names in international design, and that includes heating objects with a high sculptural value. In 2018 Tubes launches the “Plug&Play”-collection, unique on the market, which presents electric design heating objects that don’t require installation.
The concept of customization, before Tubes came along and introduced it, was near non-existent in the radiators and heated towel rails commodities sector, but it has now become a strongly differentiating and winning feature. Indeed, customers may in many cases order their radiator model in personalized shape formats or request specific colour versions, an innovative feature which allows radiators to become a design object in the definition of settings.
