Children are not allowed to roam freely, and Ella must constantly assess risks \u2013 slippery decks, steep stairs, heavy doors. \u201cYou have to stay calm and alert,\u201d she says. \u201cPanic spreads fast with kids.\u201d Her most memorable moment? \u201cI was on a jet ski with a little girl near Capri, showing her the bats in the caves. We talked about dinosaurs \u2013 she was fascinated. One of those magical moments I know she will never forget.\u201d For Ella, it is more than just childcare.
