In the very heart of Vienna\u2019s historic old town, at the tradition-rich square Am Hof, one of the city\u2019s most exciting ventures has been located since 2022: the private members\u2019 club Am Hof 8. Within an unassuming, historic residential building dating back to 1508, a concept has been brought to life that Vienna had never seen before \u2013 exclusive, pared down, intelligently conceived, and deliberately unpretentious.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The mastermind behind this project is Johannes Kattus, who, with a clear vision and uncompromising standards of quality, spent several years creating a refuge that consciously distinguishes itself from classic club clich\u00e9s. Am Hof 8 is not a place for display \u2013 it is a place for retreat, exchange, focus, and leisure. Discretion, atmosphere, and intellectual depth take centre stage. The idea: to create a place that offers modern urbanites spaces to meet, work, train, relax, celebrate \u2013 all under one roof, behind discreet walls in the middle of the city.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/a><\/span>

A House with History \u2013 and Character<\/h2>\n

The building itself is a rarity: a small residential house from the early 16th century \u2013 labyrinthine, charming, with patina and character. Instead of grand gestures of representation, the club impresses with its intimate spatial structure and sensitive zoning. Every room has its own identity; nothing is oversized, everything feels tailor-made. The interior design was led by Theresa Obermoser, known for her refined sensitivity to materials, light, and contemporary aesthetics in historic contexts. She succeeded in translating the spirit of the house into every detail: restraint instead of opulence, atmosphere instead of staging. The result is a club that does not impose itself, but rather creates space \u2013 for reflections, conversations, and enjoyment.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/a><\/span>
