STREIFZUG Kitzbühel | Issue 59 | Summer 2026
In August 2026, the CORI Hornbæk Hotel will open and is going to launch a new era in the luxury hotel ensemble in Denmark. The resort is open all-year-round and lies only a short drive from Copenhagen. As member of “The Leading Hotels of the World” it offers 82 rooms, including suites and townhouses, a spa, a restaurant, a bar and six rooms for holding events. Award-winning designer Afroditi Krassa sensitively transformed the “Badehotel” drafted in 1935 by Ole Falkentorp – utilising local materials and organic shapes and forms – into the 21st century.

The well-being concept of the house is founded in the age-old tradition of “Badehotels” – CORI Spa combines a Nordic hot-cold ritual, longevity-targeted treatments, bio-hacking and an indoor pool in the optic of a greenhouse. At work for the guests in the kitchen is executive chef Brian Mark (formerly of the Michelin-one-star awarded Søllerød Kro restaurant), whose restaurant Cori Table serves modern Nordic coast cuisine with Mediterranean accents. Surrounded by pine forests, nestled in a land-scape of dunes with the UNESCO World Heritage Schloss Kronborg, the resort is also a point of departure for cultured and active explorations of the Copenhagen riviera – including private tours with the hotel’s own J.Craft boat.
