Yachting | 2025
When the International Superyacht Society calls, the CEOs, designers, architects and even some yacht owners come, not wanting to miss out on who will receive the Society’s coveted awards this year. Known as an independent organisation, the ISS has been presenting its Design and Leadership Awards at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show since 1990. The big winner of the evening was the almost 60-metre-long “Sarissa”, which won the “Best in Sail 40M+”, “Best Interior Sail” and “Yacht of the Year” categories. The 67-metre custom yacht “Sparta” from Heesen Yachts received one award less than “Sarissa”, but still a strong two. The very sleek format was designed inside and out by Winch Design from London and won the categories “Best in Motor 500-1500 GT” and “Best Interior Motor”. With the 105-metre-long “H3”, another Dutch shipyard landed at the top of the podium (Oceanco, “Best Refit”), while the remaining three awards went to Italy, Greece and South Africa: “Grey” from Tanko won “Best in Motor -500GT”, “Malia” from Golden Yachts “Best in Motor 1500+GT” and “Gelliceaux” from Southern Wind “Best in Sail 24-40M”.
