In this private home, the surrounding nature pours through huge windows into the living room. Whereas the basic structure is down-to-earth wood, the interior is hallmarked by a noble melange of materials, thereby opening a dialogue among a bevy of different elements.
Wood, ceramic tiles, metal and stone lend every room a very special atmosphere. The focal point of daily life is to be found in the wide-open dining kitchen which with a rear wall of black-patina stainless steel plates presents its centrepiece highly effectively: a stone slab rippling with golden veins by Breitwieser. This stone is named “the golden viper” and attains its outstanding qualities through a special treatment: brushed and shammied, it releases an extraordinarily haptic surface which bestows to it a natural radiance. The so-called “Tiefenstein” is robust and hard-wearing, tough and resistent to acids. The high table attached to the slab of stone provides ample seating even to visitors.
