Purist interior, sophisticated details

The newly built edifice of this timeless family home is located on a site which makes dreams come true, on the banks of a picturesque river. The design professionals at STEININGER used the interior to play out harmonious compositions of cubistic forms, purism and highly refined details. Black, brown and grey are the dominant trailblazing shades. White ceilings and pale-hued oaken floors provide a suit-able stage. The real eye-catcher is the pronounced ensemble of kitchen island and cabinet. The five-metre-long ROCK designer kitchen unveils its expressive character as a massive block with black surfaces of natural stone. Across from these, a black steel cube of ceiling-high kitchen cabinets stands. Natural stone and metal accentuate each detail, place it in the perfect light. The STEININGER team conceives these as monolithic volumes which correspond with one another and thereby, give structure to the room: when the elements are closed the built-in furniture has the effect of a massive room-divider between living room and kitchen.

A fascinating detail is the dining table with its black carbonized wooden slab tabletop. The traditional Japanese technique generates an extraordinary patina. Through a select choice of additional pieces of top-name furniture and accessories, the STEININGER team rounded out the interior, thereby creating a living ambience full of wow-factor. And it goes without saying, much thought was also expended on the external zone: in the garden stands the companion piece to the ROCK kitchen model in its outdoor version known as ROCK.AIR, this time fashioned of weatherproof metal.
