The primary goal during development was to create a product for outstanding espresso that is both visionary in its concept and design, seamlessly fitting into modern, contemporary interior architecture. Founded in 2019 by Dr. Lina Gebhardt-Gronbach, LIGRE was developed in close collaboration with coffee experts, R&D specialists, and the renowned design studio Relvãokellermann. In 2024, the brand made its public debut at the Salone del Mobile in Milan. As a luxury brand, LIGRE consciously challenges conventions and boldly explores new paths. This courage has been rewarded with the German Design Award Gold and the iF Design Gold Award.

Iconic Design for Contemporary Interiors

The LIGRE youn espresso machine impresses with its calm, elegant appearance. Minimalist and understated, it simultaneously exudes warmth and grace. It seamlessly integrates into modern interiors, optimising countertop space in an efficient and practical way, with functionality taking centre stage. Design duo Ana Relvão and Gerhardt Kellermann focused on blending design and function in a distinctive manner: “Our ambition was to create a coffee machine that respects the ritual of preparation, fostering a deep connection between the user and the machine.”

Perfect Coffee Enjoyment

The LIGRE youn allows for the preparation and enjoyment of excellent cappuccino and espresso, with the highest Italian taste quality. It offers two operating modes to cater to individual preferences: the easy mode makes it simple to prepare outstanding espresso and milk foam using predefined settings. Users can also choose from three different brewing sensory profiles to best match their personal taste. For dedicated home baristas, the LIGRE youn offers nerd mode with advanced settings, allowing precise control over brewing parameters such as water temperature, pre-infusion time, and extraction pressure via the touchscreen, ensuring the perfect espresso tailored to individual preferences.
