At a small manufacture, Gerhard Haiden has for 16 years been developing the perfect ski with materials such as basalt, carbon, bamboo and titanal. Since 2012, HAIDEN has been a synonym for innovation and top quality, ongoingly striving to raise the level of ski sports through the manufacture of high-performance equipment and bringing it to market. Entrepreneur Manfred Nagl at his company Hilitech produces light-weight parts of carbon and various composites for luxurious business jets, yachts, etc. In his free time, he loves nothing more than to trace a ribbon-like path on skis through the deep snow of Obertauern. Material, Technology, Setting

HAIDENSKI utilises only the rarest premium materials, such as cores of ash wood, whose trees were felled two days before full moon under the zodiac sign of Scorpio, something which has proven to be especially flexible and sturdy. Black World Cup face-layering obtained from a specially developed grinding process accelerates faster and persists at that high speed. The robust steel edges are particularly wide and long-lived.

For these skis, which are only available through special single-specimen order, the structure is a unique composition of the most refined materials known to humankind, e.g. carbon, titanal, poplar and ash. One of the essential features is the utilisation of basalt fibre. This material is obtained from volcanic stone and possesses ideal cushioning characteristics, it literally absorbs jolts and vibrations and is for that reason of particular advantage to skiers with spinal disc problems. In order to underscore the unparalleled quality of what traditional handcrafted workmanship and high-tech functionality can generate, the ski is subsequently ornamented with an exclusive laser-engraved logo.
