“Hard to describe, easy to enjoy,” is the credo of Peter Wahrstätter and Flo Straif, who opened their “Restaurant Spitzbuam” in Brixen im Thale on 1st December 2022. The style of cooking is Flo’s domain, a refined and vivacious fusion of French techniques combined with the exotic spices and flavours of Asia. The wine list is Peter’s territory, it resembles a travel journal wending its way through Austria and France, stopping at the good addresses and harvesting superb products. The Gault Millau guide awarded the restaurant 2 toques in its 2024 edition (14 points). Unconventional, unpretentious and, in a lovely way, different.
