Lürssen’s core business is building new yachts, and the Bremen ship-yard has been very busy so far in 2023 with the delivery of three yachts with a total length of 374 metres. The first delivery in early 2023 was “Opera” – a 146-metre yacht, followed by the 90-metre yacht “Norn”. “Norn” was built for an owner couple who had previously sailed on a 70-metre Lürssen, which had served them faithfully for over 20 years. They demanded a first-class design and technology as well as a high level of comfort at sea for their family. Like all Lürssens, the yacht is equipped with the latest technology and technical systems. These include zero-speed stabilizers, an al fresco cinema and an adjustable pool floor that can also be illuminated as a dance floor. The third delivery to leave the shipyard is the “Luminance” project, a 137-metre private yacht. Today, 32 of the 100 largest yachts in the world have been built by Lürssen (and 12 of the 20 largest); and many more yachts ranging in size from 75 to over 130 metres are currently under construction.
