With the new SP110, the first coupé yacht in its history, the listed Sanlorenzo shipyard enters the world of sport yachts. It was designed on the outside by Zuccon International Project Studio and on the inside by Piero Lissoni under the direction of Tilli Antonelli, who as founder and former CEO of the Pershing brand knows more about fast open yachts than almost anyone else. As the first unit in the SP series, whose acronym stands for “Smart Performance”, the SP110 is said to guarantee high performance with maximum energy efficiency thanks to a sophisticated propulsion system consisting of three rather small engines. Specifically, the Sanlorenzo SP110 features three 2,000-hp MAN engines with waterjets.
Designer Marco Arnaboldi deliberately designed the hull for lower-powered engines and waterjets that still deliver high performance. A top speed of 40 knots generated by this “package” is more than respectable. Meanwhile, the use of various weight-saving solutions, such as the use of lightweight materials, also contributes to the performance. Zuccon International chose a distinctive exterior for the new range, while maintaining the design continuity of the Sanlorenzo tradition. Designed by Piero Lissoni, the split-level style interiors are not separated from each other, creating a “vertical loft” that promotes conviviality and creates a completely new yacht feeling.
